This is a SWEET a$$ boat with all the extra goodies!!
18.5' 1973 SleekCraft Rebel Jet Boat 100% refurbished 4 years ago. New paint, interior, motor, etc. The boat is completely turn key and ready for the lake! I've GPS'ed the boat at 88.8 mph (on super unleaded pump gas) once right after the motor was just installed. I took my foot out and have never tried for top speed again. She cruises very nicely at 60 mph with a lot of throttle left to make it jump out of the water.
If you think it looks like the registration numbers were hand painted on the bow, you are correct!!! The boat has also been wiped down after each use and garaged it's entire life. The boat does have some minor scratches on the sides, due to boat docks. The docks aren't made for a boat that sits this low in the water, and with the other dumb a$$es doing 30 mph in the 5 zone - if I'm off getting the truck, I can't keep the boat off the side of the dock, even though I used bumpers. There are two fuel tanks on both sides of the boat that hold about 14 gallons each.
I will also include several (12?) life jackets - a couple extra large, large, medium, and children size. All the ropes, bumpers, two fire extinguishers and wake tube.
The boat and trailer both have current registration and clean titles.
The jet pump is a Berkeley 12JC with a AA impeller it was also rebuilt at the same time the boat was restored. The pump is in great shape still and has an Extreme loader scoop installed. The bowl has been converted from oil to grease because of the high horsepower the motor delivers (keeps the water out better). The bowl has been filled with Mobil 1 synthetic grease. The pump also has a hydraulic diverter from Agressor Jet Drives that is only a year old.
The trailer is in great shape and received fresh matching paint and bunks/carpet at the time the boat was done. The trailer also has new tires, wiring, and lights. The rims are original 1973 and have a little bit of rust on them.
About 12 months ago she received a new motor that I personally built. It's 100% balanced and blueprinted. I even weighed each individually ring when I balanced it!!! The heads have a little bit of porting done on them.
Here's the specs on the motor....There is well over $10,000 in the motor alone!! This motor was built to add a 871 blower, Enderle Hat and nitros later, be able to turn over 10,000 RPM's, and still live!! I check the oil each time I take it out and if the oil smells of fuel or has a gritty feal to it, I change it. Which eqautes to about 8-10 hours. I've only used Valvoline VR1 40W racing oil and K&N Pro Gold filters.
